Middle School

The middle school program is designed to provide the optimum combination of activities, curriculum, and instruction to meet the diverse needs of the student.  Teachers strive to successfully bridge the gap between elementary school and high school through encouragement and strong role modeling.

The academic focus is on analysis and synthesis.  In the classroom, students are active participants in group lecture and discussion, note taking, small group discussion, projects, and research. Spiritual emphasis is upon "Who am I in relation to God, family, others, and myself". Computer skills are also improved throughout the middle school years.

Our middle school students have the opportunity to participate in team sports. The volleyball season begins in the fall, and basketball is played during the winter months.   Middle school students also participate in a mission trip or historical trip.  This allows students to put into practice the gift of servanthood and the opportunity to experience history firsthand.

Middle school students are offered a well balanced program that fosters strong personal development academically, socially, physically, and spiritually.  Highland Christian Academy is a great place for students to be during these transitional years.
